2 Chainz — Pretty Girls Like Trap Music
Client Overview:
Tru Brand Media collaborated with 2 Chainz, Street Execs, Cam Kirk Studios, and Universal Music Group to develop the official website and digital experience for the Pretty Girls Like Trap Music (PGLTM) album — a cultural milestone that blended music, art, fashion, and lifestyle into one unified digital movement.
Our Role:
Our team designed and developed an interactive fan engagement platform that captured the essence of the Pretty Girls Like Trap Music brand while extending the cultural narrative of the now-iconic Pink Trap House. Long before user-generated content became standard in digital marketing, Tru Brand Media engineered a system where fans could directly upload and share lifestyle content, effectively transforming supporters into co-creators of the PGLTM experience.
We led multiple strategic and creative direction sessions in coordination with Street Execs, Cam Kirk Studios, and Universal Music Group to ensure alignment across branding, storytelling, and fan engagement. The site became a digital extension of the album — an evolving, community-driven platform that celebrated the intersection of trap culture, creativity, and female empowerment.
Outcome:
The Pretty Girls Like Trap Music campaign and website set a new standard for interactive music marketing, merging culture, technology, and fan participation in a way that predated modern social integrations. The result was a viral, fan-fueled movement that amplified the PGLTM brand worldwide and solidified its place as one of the most culturally impactful music campaigns of its era.
